Cornering the UK ice cream market
Summer is quietly creeping into our country after leaving the long winter months behind. That, of course, means ice cream weather. Not only does Colac has national aspirations, but they are beginning to feel the summer jitters abroad as well. Colac and Keylink have a flourishing business relationship since 2018 when we first met at the SIGEP exhibition in Italy. At the time, Keylink was looking for someone who could help them carve out a space in the UK ice cream market.
Keylink is a family owned business that supplies ingredients, equipment and accessories for the chocolate and confectionery industry. They can rely on 50 years of experience. They were the first company to import Belgian chocolates to the UK (Manchester).
Keylink, like Colac, is known for a fast delivery and being close to the customer, both beign very important features in today's market. The same words and values also resonate at Keylink: “ We work with Colac as they can provide a wide range of high quality products with a very quick delivery. Colac has a clear view of their goals and what their products can produce, which helps us to market both the products and the content.”

Colac started in 1981 with a unique product: the exclusive Colac ice cream paste. An essential ingredient for creating the highest quality artisan ice cream. Keylink was the first distributor in the UK to sell this ice cream paste.
According to Keylink our ice cream paste provides a perfect rich base for creating excellent ice cream: “The simplicity and ease of use of the product mixed with the excellent flavour and texture result is what we find appealing about this. It demystifies the ice cream making process and allows anyone to access this.”
